Many questions get asked by visitors to church, newcomers to town, and friends and neighbors of our members. Here’s a list of questions that may help you get to know Church of Christ Chilenje better.

This is person who has gladly received the word of God (Romans 10:14), believe the Word of God (Hebrews 11:6), repented of his/her sins (Acts 17:30), confessed the belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God (Acts 8:36-37), baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38, Matthew 28:18-19) and live faithfully as a Christian (1 Peter 2:9)

The Chilenje Church of Christ has a membership of around 220 people. The Building has capacity for 300 seated people.

These are ordained men of God fulfilling the qualification in 1 Timothy 3:1-7. Elders are responsible for the spiritual welfare, direction and growth of the congregation.

These are ordained servants of God fulfilling the qualification in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Deacons are responsible for the non-spiritual needs of the church and directing over various ministries. They serve under the supervision of the elders.

We start with Bible Study at 09:00 hrs and Church service from 10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs

A dedicated Sunday school class runs concurrently with main service. Children are regularly given an opportunity for travel with consent of parents to recreation parks and other place of interest and growth.

Any person seeking the truth, wants to below to a family of believers who God and want to develop a relation with God.

Not necessary, any person is welcome

There is no dress code but I encourage members and visitors to dress modestly

We love to sing, we pray, listen to the word of God, take holy communion every Sunday and giving offering to God

We have the following programmes designed for spiritual growth and anchoring of our members: 1. Sunday School (focus on children) a) Baby class 0- 5 b) Middle class (5 – 12years) c) Teen Class (13 to 18 years) 2. Foundation Class (New converts and doctrine formation) 3. Family Focus (Topical family focus) 4. Bible Core (In-depth study of the Word – Maturing the saints) 5. Life Line (Young adults, young professionals, new careers, college cadre and singles) Mentorship programme are also provided for businesses and career growth. The church has counselors for social needs such career guidance, marriage and other social needs especially for youth people

We are involved in prison and hospital outreach. The church organizes regular gospel campaigns locally and collaboratively The Church has nursery and primary school whose mission to is to contribute to the wellbeing of our community by providing high quality education that promotes excellence, integrity, social and emotional development of children in our society.
