The Barnabas School’s Philosophy is to foster the intellectual, spiritual and physical development of the wholesome individual in order to recognize and utilize the available opportunities for enhancement of human development.

Objectives of the School
In recognizing the God-given responsibility that parents have for the education and general development of their children, Barnabas School is established to assist parents in the education of their children. It is the objective of Barnabas School to build upon the home’s foundation with an education that provides for the child’s maximum development spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. The following are Barnabas School specific objectives:
(i) To develop an appreciation of the Bible and an ability to make daily application to life;
(ii) To enable children to master the tools of learning and communication so that they will think clearly, logically, and independently;
(iii) To nurture and instruct children in such a way as to develop in them a world and life view consistent with Biblical principles;
(iv) To provide children with opportunities to discover and develop talents in different areas, physical strength, and teamwork through organized physical activities.
Our core business for Barnabas School is to educate our children in a loving, Christian, family environment where they will grow and flourish, enjoy learning and love their Faith. The School is a legally registered entity with the Government of the Republic of Zambia under the Ministry of Education. The Church of Christ – Chilenje wholly owns Barnabas School. Parents are key stakeholder who work closely with the school through the Parent Teachers’ Association mechanism (PTA).
School Products and services
Our Product and Services are based on the authorised ministry of education syllabus and our statement of faith. That is, offering of education that meets the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs so as to produce well-rounded and educated children. We will serve children who love to learn, who live their Faith and are academically prepared for school. The service range includes nursery and primary education.
Nursery Education
This is for the ages of 2 to 6 years. This covers the baby class, reception and middle class.
Primary Education
The primary education is for the ages 7 to14 years for the grades one to seven.
In providing our services, our School has focused on education in a small nurturing environment with individualized instruction. These two products have been offered since the year 1997 and are available currently. The School’s plan is to offer secondary and tertiary education in the long term.
